I Want A Puppy For Christmas.??? =]?
Ok, So i want a puppy for christmas,but my parents (i have a soon to be step dad) won’t let me have one,because my brother’s dog (which is kinda my moms though) has diabetes and is blind,and they don’t want the dog to be depressed and die.She has had diabetes for a couple months now.I lover her to death,but i always wanted a dog since i was little and my dog jumped over my grandma’s house and got hit by a car and died in the vet’s office. I got a hamster a a couple years ago but it died of old age about 2 years ago,when i got him my parents told me i could get another one after he died,but they didn’t because we got a cat.I always wanted on years before she got sick. I made presentations and talked to them about it but they never let me. The pets arent even technacially mine.The cat is mostly like my moms,and the dog is my brothers,and he got her before i was born (she’s old),and he got her for his birthday from my mom’s friend,and he was way younger than i am right now.My mom doesn’t like to talk about getting a puppy,and whenever she does it sounds liker HER dog.If WE get one shes going to pick the breed (we don’t rlly like the same breeds) and she get to name it.Whenever they get a pet im forced to take care of it. I do the dog food ,dog/cat water ,cat food,and cat box (its fancy so it takes longer than a regular one) and i have to do the dog poop (we have a big yard) and the Entire cat box.I don’t know what else to do i know my mom doesn’t mean wrong,because she’s the best mom ever,but idk wat to do….. help? =[
Btw my hamster lived for 2 and a half years right when he was supposed 2
Nd they wouldn’t even let me have a dog if i pay for it
Your parents have good reasons not to want to get another dog right now.

What don’t you understand about the word NO? No reputable breeder will sell a pup for a present. Grow up, get a place of your own and then you can have all the animals you want. Because I get the idea you are still in school..
So who will watch the dog while you are at school?
At a friends house?

Also.. do not get one because if it doesnt work out.. it will end up having to be moved from house to house until one person finally realizes the poor thing has been moved so many times.

I think you should wait, if you already do all the cleaning up after the dog and feeds etc then Im sure your brother wont mind you walking and playing and training his dog either, that way the dog will become your dog too as you will (and the dog will) feel a bond between the two of you.
If you cant decide on the same breed then its probably best to wait until you are old enough to pay for your own dog and all its needs. If you cant all agree then it would not be fair on the new dog anyway. Also you should realise that no matter whose property the dog is if you all live with the dog it is a family dog so treat it that way, not like one persons dog – they are pack animals.
Patience is a virtue and the best things come to those who wait -probably not what you want to hear but its the honest truth, you need to think of the dogs welfare here, more than your own want to own a dog. as well as your existing dogs welfare.

Sorry but when you don’t have the money to pay for something yourself you have to listen to what the decision is of the person who does have the money.
